We at DroneSeed are working to address climate change by making reforestation scalable with drone swarms — surveying, planting trees, and spraying to protect them. We’re Techstars ‘16 alum, VC backed, and working with 3 of the 5 largest timber companies in the US.

Our DroneSeed operators are deeply dedicated to our mission and capable of safely leading multi-vehicle, heavy lift drone operations in some of the world’s most challenging terrain environments.   They are responsible, professional aviation managers that exercise superb leadership to carry out safe, effective, and efficient operations.Deep commitment to our mission of making reforestation scalable

  • Willing to work in remote environments and travel regionally up to 50% - 75%

  • Experienced in aviation and aircrew management

  • Experienced in leading field crews (forestry industry a plus)

  • FAA Part 107 Certified

  • Ability to assess and manage risk, create a safety-first culture, and make real-time decisions in ambiguous situations

  • Ability to track and measure operational processes and identify alternate methods of efficiency (LEAN / Six Sigma a plus)

  • Clear, concise written and verbal communicator; able to communicate well with leadership, technology teams, customers, and other stakeholders.  

  • Resourceful and adaptable to new and changing technologies and environments

  • Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations and deep understanding of 14 CFR Parts 107, 137, 61, and 91.
